Arctic Animal yoga

We tried a different breathing exercise before yoga today.

We had to close our eyes and take a deep breath...
And listen.... We could hear the music playing....

And our breathing.....
We finished with a couple bunny breaths....Sadie was really good at scrunching up her nose like a bunny

Blu and Addie are practicing the moose pose  :-)

Harper is a "baby moose"

Next we rounded our backs for the musk ox pose

Marcus and Ryan are doing the walrus pose....Nice job you two!
After that we tried some polar bear walking...they did a pretty good job staying on their mats!
I was showing them how to do the snow goose pose....

I showed them a different way of doing it if the other way is too tricky  :-)
We also tried the whale pose....
A few friends wondered if they could reach their feet...so a bunch of us tried it....I was really surprised I could still reach my feet

Whew!  Time for a rest   :-)

The 3's started out with some bunny breathing  :-)

We started out with the moose pose   :-)

Then we switched directions and put the other leg in front...I called it "Moosing over the other way"
After that we tried a musk ox pose....I was really encouraging the kids to round their backs by tucking their chins down

Great Walrus pose Kate!
Feel the stretch Greta and Zander  :-)

Polar bear walking is alot of fun

The whale pose is a nice workout for your chest, arms, legs, and back

Frankie and Kate were pretty happy that they could reach their feet :-)

We ended by resting and listening to the soft music :-)   Zander was laying very still!

2's

We started out with a few bunny breaths.....
They thought it was funny when I was scrunching up my nose like a bunny!
Lily was really watching what my feet were doing  :-)

Check out this little Hendrik moose  :-)
Miss Emalee is helping Henry raise his hands for moose pose  :-)

This is the walrus pose :-)

Bodhi and Piper are trying the walrus pose too  :-)

Next we pretended to swim in the ocean  :-)
They thought polar bear walking was cool....

We looked side to side during the arctic fox pose....I told the 2's that this is a nice stretch for our neck muscles :-)

We ended in the cute little lemming pose.  They liked saying "lemming" too :-)

Toddler Friends

Pema and Sophie are doing "so big!"

Ethan was really focusing on marching in place!

We had alot of fun crawling around like polar bears...."Rawr!"

Nice stretching Rowan!
Matai was laughing so hard when we pretended to swim!
