4's Class Babydoll circle time

🎵🎵🎵

I start each baby doll circle time by singing....
"Find a baby, find a baby, find a baby that wants to play, find a baby, find a baby, find a baby, right away."  (To the tune of "Oh my darlin")
Since the 4's are so excited to go to "big kid school," I thought it would be fun for us to figure out how to get our babies ready for school!🎒
We changed our babies' diapers, fed them a bottle, and got them ready for the day.🍼
It was fun brainstorming all the different things a baby might need at school. I borrowed a little backpack, and we pretended to add clothes, bottles, wipes, blankies, pacifiers and all kinds of stuff!  We even pretended to buckle our baby in a car seat and drive them to school!
A couple babies were sad at drop off, so we gave lots of hugs and reminded them that we will come back.
 💗💗💗💗

I showed the class a cute little breathing ball for the babies. As we said goodnight to our babies, each kiddo and their baby got to take a turn to breathe with it.

Bugs N Slugs Yoga WK1

Bugs N Slugs Yoga

4's

I had 12 different bug poses on cards. I left the cards turned over and had the kiddos come up one at a time to choose one......
This is the spider pose.  Its a great abdominal workout to lean back and move your arms and legs!

Next we had fun sliding like a slug.....

Its Roman's turn to choose    :-)
This was our snail pose. I told the class to pretend they are sitting down on a chair.  A few of the kiddos mentioned that this pose was hard and that their legs hurt.  I said it hurts my legs too, but it's such great exercise!

We tried 10 big grasshopper jumps....  (They are definitely the same as frog jumps!)

We flapped our wings in butterfly pose. Miss Elizabeth mentioned that her daughter does this at gymnastics and the instructor says to smell your feet. They thought this was hilarious, so we decided to try it too!

This is called "ant walking"  I was trying to explain how to have one arm and the opposite leg extended. I think they did a pretty good job!

3's

I made little bug nets for each child and told them we were going to help catch some bugs. As I pulled different bugs out we all waved our nets around to try to "catch" it. I used the laundry basket as my "big net"
Slide across the mat like a slimy slug.....
We used our binoculars to spot the bugs :-)

Infants

I brought a couple yoga mats into the infant room
I love helping the infants explore the yoga mats.

So Big!

She was on the move!

I brought lots of stuff for the Toddler Friends

We squished and tossed bean bags  :-)
We shook streamers around and held a hula hoop!

We also practiced kicking using blocks and stepping using the stepping stones

Owen and Payton both tried the yellow stepping stone!

Parker, Kingston, Elias and I were moving the hula hoop around. I think Kylie is wondering what we are doing.

I brought a few different spot markers. The kiddos stood on them, put them on top of their heads, and discovered that they can be folded.

The 2's helped some bugs find their way to a flower.
Spider pose was the 1st one we tried. We had to move our arms and legs at the same time.

Iris and Kavan are ready for grasshopper hops!
I told the friends to show me their muscles!  We did this to get ready for the tricky snail pose.
It's Remy's turn to add his bug to the flower  :-)

We wiggled like worms all the way to the flower!
